Channeling the voice of science superstar Bill Nye, I wrote and edited exhibit text and multimedia scripts for Bill Nye's Climate Lab. Produced by Chabot Space & Science Center in 2010, this award-winning exhibition and website featured game-based missions and activities aimed to increase climate science literacy and teach energy-saving strategies to youth ages 8 to 14.
Exhibits encouraged visitors to bike along with Bill Nye, create hydroelectric energy, experience a hot air balloon, start a wind turbine and create their own personal avatar to find solutions to help thwart climate change. RFID-enabled Climate Scout ID cards allowed visitors to record their exhibit experiences and transfer points to their web account.
In addition to Bill Nye and Chabot Space & Science Center, the collaboration included Amaze Design, Proximity Lab and leading climate researchers from the University of California, Berkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
